The Navi Health Application ("Navi Health") is made available by Navi Technologies Private Limited (“our”, “us”, “we”, “Company”), having its registered office at 3rd Floor, Salarpuria Business Center, 93, 5th A Block, Koramangala Ind Layout, Bengaluru – 560 095, Karnataka, India. In order to provide you (and other covered members/nominees, if any) with the Services, process your requests for an insurance policy, and to ultimately provide a policy to you, we (i.e., the Company) and Navi General Insurance Limited (the “Insurance Partner”) need to collect various data and information from you. The manner in which this data and information is collected, retained, shared, stored, and processed by us (i.e., the Company) and our Insurance Partner is addressed in this Privacy Policy (“Policy”). We may revise this Policy as well as update the Services and Navi Health from time to time, so please keep visiting this page regularly to take notice of any changes we make. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, please stop using our Services immediately.
This Policy, incorporates, and includes our Terms and the Agreement(s) executed by you for availing the insurance products made available by the Insurance Partner (“Insurance Agreement”). Words and phrases not defined in this Policy shall mean the same as provided in the Terms. All references to you (as a user / visitor) shall include references to all other covered members/nominees, if any.
By visiting and/or using Navi Health, you agree to this Privacy Policy. To aid us in protecting your privacy, you should maintain secrecy of your login ID and password, if any, provided to you in connection with your account with Navi Health.
Further, by setting up an account on Navi Health, you agree to our and the Insurance Partner's processing, storage, usage and sharing of the data provided by you pursuant to this Policy.
We and our Insurance Partner have appointed a data grievance officer. Our data grievance officer is: Sugandha Sharma, accessible via email at: gro@navi.com. You can contact the officer confidentially by email to enquire about the treatment of your data by us or our Insurance Partner.
While using Navi Health, you may be asked to share personal information as required. This may include, but may not be restricted to your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, debit card/credit card information or net banking service information, the insured individual’s health related information and the personal information of the insured’s beneficiary. This information is necessary to maintain our records about you to service you better at the time of issuing new policies and disbursing claims. We will collect personal identification information from you only if you voluntarily submit such information to us. You can always refuse to supply personal information, however that may preclude you from taking certain actions and/or availing certain Services on Navi Health. Any information including your personal information provided by you on Navi Health, will be deemed as an authorization given by you to us and our Insurance Partner to use such information for the purpose as stated out on Navi Health. By visiting and/or using Navi Health, you agree to this Privacy Policy. To aid us in protecting your privacy, you should maintain secrecy of your login ID and password, if any, provided to you in connection with your account with Navi Health.
We and our Insurance Partner collect the data you provide to us when you create or update your Navi Account or register for any event. This includes your name, phone number, email ID, date of birth, pin code, and relationship with the other covered members/nominees. We or our Insurance Partner may require you to share further information on a later date to confirm the veracity of your information or pursuant to any additional features added to Navi Health.
We and our Insurance Partner collect the data you provide at the time of processing your claims. This includes your photograph, Aadhaar Number, PAN, bank account number, IFSC, proof of address (which can be your electricity bill, rental/lease agreement, gas bill, passport or driver’s license, or voter’s identity card or any other document Navi Health may be able to record).
You may be required to provide further information to the Insurance Partner for the purposes of issuance of policies and processing of claims. Such additional information may include (without limitation) your health and lifestyle related data, bank statements, loan statement, salary and income statements. This data shall be supplied to the Insurance Partner through us. You may also be required to provide this information to us and the Insurance Partner via physical documents, e-mail or other digital and offline methods.

We and our Insurance Partner collect the location data from you in two ways: (i) when you add the pin code as part of your Navi Account data; and (ii) from your mobile device when enabled by you to do so. We collect this data when Navi Health is running in the background of your mobile device.
Navi Health collects user account data which includes email address, name to log in to Navi Health. This information is required as part of the registration process to access our service and it is also used to auto populate relevant fields in the course of the interface of our app. Navi Health also collects mobile numbers for verification to check the active SIM status on the device, uniquely identify you and prevent fraud and unauthorized access.
We might collect your billing name, billing address and payment method when you buy an insurance policy from us.
When you grant us access to the address book on your mobile device, then we and our Insurance Partner access and store the names and contact information from your address book to facilitate invitations, assess your phone usage and habits. As part of your usage of our Services, we collect all of your phonebook contacts which includes their contact names, phone numbers, account types, favourites (starred) and contact labels for marketing purposes. We also use this data to determine your social network from your phonebook contacts and identify fraudulent contacts in your network. This helps us in detecting fraud and reducing risk.
When you grant us access to the SMSs on your mobile device, then we and our Insurance Partner collect SMS data stored on your mobile device. You will not be able to access certain Services we provide on Navi Health or we may require additional information and documents if you disable this access.
We and our Insurance Partner collect the data about your installed applications, including the applications that you have installed on and from the date you create your Navi Account and the manner in which you use them. This also includes having access and permission to send you messages and notifications via your social media and instant messaging applications.
We collect data about how you interact with our Services. This includes data such as interaction patterns (such as screen actions, gestures: taps, scrolls) access dates and times, duration of time spent on Navi Health, Navi Health features or pages viewed, Navi Health crashes and other system activity, type of browser, and third-party sites or services used before, after or in the course of interacting with our Services. We may also collect the type of mobile device you are using or the version of the operating system your computer or device in running on.
We may collect demographic information about you, events you like, events you intend to participate in, policies you buy, or any other information provided by you during the use of Navi Health. This information may be collected as part of a survey also.
We collect transaction information related to the use of our Services, including the type of Services requested, date and time the Service was provided, insurance availed, premium payable and payment method. Additionally, if someone uses your promotion code, we may associate your name with that person and their usage of Navi Health.
We collect data about the devices used to access our Services, including the hardware models, device IP address, operating systems and versions, software, preferred languages, unique device identifiers, advertising identifiers, serial numbers, device motion data, and mobile network data.
This permission is required so that users' documents can be securely downloaded and saved on users' phones and upload the right documents for a faster approval of insurance policy and disbursal of claims. This helps provide a very smooth and seamless experience while using Navi Health.

We may also be working closely with third parties (including, for example, business partners, technical sub-contractors, analytics providers, search information providers, service providers, third-party administrators and medical examiners and may lawfully receive information about you and other covered members/nominees from such sources. Such data may be shared internally and combined with data collected on Navi Health. We may also collect information you post in a public space on Navi Health or on a third-party social media site belonging to us or our Insurance Partner.

We may use the data so collected for research, analysis, and product development to improve the UI/UX experience – all of which will ultimately improve how you experience Navi Health.
We may use the data we collect to market Navi Health and our Services. This includes sharing your feedback, ratings and screen names for purely promotion and marketing purposes. Such promotion and marketing may be done via hoardings, banners, pamphlets etc. Further, we might send you information about special promotions or offers. We might also tell you about features or products. These might be our own offers or products, or third-party offers or products we think you might find interesting. Or, for example, if you buy an insurance policy from us, we'll enroll you in our newsletter.
We may use the data we collect to investigate or address claims or disputes relating to use of our Services, or as otherwise allowed by applicable law, or as requested by regulators, government entities, and official inquiries.
Notwithstanding any other provision of this Policy, we may share information if we think we have to in order to comply with the law. If any governmental authority or law enforcement officers request or require any information and we think disclosure is required or appropriate in order to comply with laws, regulations, or a legal process.

In the event that any personal data provided by you is inaccurate, incomplete or outdated then you shall have the right to provide us with the accurate, complete and up to date data and have us rectify such data. It may take up to 10 days to process your request. We urge you to ensure that you always provide us with accurate and correct information/data to ensure your use of our Services is uninterrupted.
You have the right to withdraw your consent to this policy by uninstalling Navi Health. However, if you have availed any policies from our Insurance Partner, we shall have the right to continue processing your information till such policy is valid and existing.
However, we shall not retain your data and information if it is no longer required by us and there is no legal requirement to retain the same. Do note that multiple legal bases may exist in parallel and we may still have to retain certain data and information at any time.
We may use your email address to send you information about your insurance policy. It may also be used to respond to your inquiries, questions, and/or other post-sale requests.
By opting into our mailing list, you may receive emails that could include related product or service information, educational content etc. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving email communication, you can opt out of receiving our marketing emails. To stop receiving our promotional emails, please email unsubscribe@navi.com. It may take about ten days to process your request. Even if you opt out of getting marketing messages, we will still be sending you transactional messages through email and SMS about your purchases. We obtain your permission to post testimonials which may include your personal information prior to posting on Navi Health. Push Notifications: You can opt out of receiving push notifications through your device settings. Please note that opting out of receiving push notifications may impact your use of Navi Health.
We maintain information pertaining to you in our business records as per current regulatory requirements. We have secure and appropriate data collection, storage, and processing practices. Our security measures protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored on Navi Health.
All kinds of private information exchange and transactions on Navi Health happens through SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures.
By setting up a Navi Account, you agree to our and the Insurance Partner’s processing, storage, usage, and sharing of the data provided by you pursuant to this Policy. If you do not agree with any of the terms of this Policy or the Terms or wish to revoke any consent you have provided to us and/or the Insurance Partner, please write to us at gro@navi.com. However, please note that if you revoke any mandatory permissions or revoke the consent to process and store information needed to facilitate the issuance of policies or disbursal of claims, then we may have to cease the provision of Services to you. You cannot withdraw your consent once you have availed a policy using Navi Health till such policy is valid and subsisting.
We shall retain the information you provide to facilitate your smooth and uninterrupted use of Navi health, and (i) to provide, improve and personalize our Services; (ii) to contact you about your account and give customer service; (iii) to personalize our advertising and marketing communications; and (iv) to prevent, detect, mitigate, and investigate fraudulent or illegal activities. We do not retain your personal data for longer than required for the purpose for which the information may be lawfully used. For any other information, we may entertain your request for deletion, however, you may not be able to use our Services at all after such deletion.
Our Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from persons under the age of 18 (eighteen). If we find out that a child has given us personal information, we will take steps to delete that information and terminate the relevant account on Navi Health.
We may from time to time contact you via calls, SMS, emails, WhatsApp and other communication channels to provide you with information pertaining to our Services, notifications on updates vis-à-vis our Services (when we consider it necessary to do so), educational information and promotions. We may also notify you if we need to temporarily suspend Navi Health for maintenance, and keep you informed on security, privacy, or administrative-related communications. By setting up an account on Navi, you consent to us contacting you via call, SMS, WhatsApp, push notifications, or through any other communication channel, as we may deem fit.
We may occasionally update this Policy. When we do, we will revise the date on this policy. Use of our services after an update constitutes consent to the updated notice to the extent permitted by law. Please take the time to periodically review this Policy for the latest information on our privacy practices.
